I will post more of these but I wouldn't want to leave you with the impression that all statues in Pontevedra are as, well, modern as these. Here, for example, is a glorious memorial at the start of the Alameda in Plaza España.

And here is a set of modern statues which always bring a smile to my face, for the right reasons in this case..
